A personal note

From the founder

Hey there,

Thank you for taking the time to find your self-love match. The fact that you're here — reading this, taking this quiz, looking for products that actually work for you — tells me something important about you. You're someone who's ready to show up for yourself.

I created Le(a)d to Love because I believe self-care isn't a luxury or an afterthought. It's a practice. A daily, intentional act of choosing yourself — your skin, your peace, your wellbeing — even when life is busy, messy, or overwhelming.

Your quiz results will introduce you to your matched scent family — but I want you to know something: you deserve variety just as much as you deserve a signature scent. Some people find the one fragrance that becomes theirs and never look back. Others fall in love with a different scent for every mood, season, or moment. Both are exactly right. This guide is here to help you discover what that looks like for you.

I also want to be honest with you about why clean ingredients matter so much to me. You should never have to choose between loving yourself and risking your health. Too many mainstream products are filled with parabens, phthalates, and synthetic chemicals linked to serious health concerns — including cancer. That is not a trade-off you should ever have to make. Every Le(a)d to Love product is handcrafted in small batches with naturally derived ingredients because caring for yourself should never come at a cost to your wellbeing. Full stop.

This guide is yours. Use it to build a routine that fits your real life, explore the scents that light something up in you, and find the small moments of love that add up to something real.

You took the first step. Let this guide lead you the rest of the way.

With love,

The Le(a)d to Love way

Self-care is self-love in action

Before we get into products and routines, we want to say something important. Self-care isn't something you earn when things slow down. It's something you choose — especially when things don't.

You don't have to earn rest.
You don't have to wait until you have more time,
more money, or more energy.
You can lead yourself to love — right now, exactly as you are.
Small moments of care, chosen consistently,
are how we build a relationship with ourselves.
Choose love.
1
Intention over perfection
A two-minute routine done with presence is worth more than an elaborate one done on autopilot. Show up for your skin the way you'd show up for someone you love — with attention, not just actions.
2
Consistency over intensity
You don't need to do everything every day. You need to do something, most days. A body oil in the morning. A steamer in the shower. A lip balm before bed. Small acts, repeated with love.
3
Scent is a mood shift
Fragrance is one of the fastest ways to change how you feel. Your matched scent family isn't just about what smells good — it's about how you want to feel in your own skin, every single day.
4
Clean ingredients are a form of self-respect
What you put on your body matters. Paraben-free, silicone-free, phthalate-free — not because it's trending, but because you deserve products made without compromise. Your skin absorbs what you give it.
5
Self-care is not selfish
The most common thing we hear at the booth: "I never make time for myself." If that's you — this guide is a gentle reminder that you matter too. Taking care of yourself makes you better at everything else you show up for.

Your care plan

Simple routines that actually stick

You don't need a 12-step plan. You need a few intentional steps done consistently. Here are three routines built for your life — choose what fits today.

The 5-Minute Reset
5 min
Drop a shower steamer at your feet before you turn on the water. Let the steam carry the scent before you even step in.
While water warms, do 3 deep breaths. In through the nose, out through the mouth. Scent + breath = the fastest mood shift available to you.
Within 60 seconds of stepping out, apply bath & body oil to damp skin from the shoulders down. This is when absorption is highest.
Finish with lip balm. Self-care head to toe — done in your normal morning window.
🛁
The Full Wind-Down
30–45 min
Set the atmosphere first. Spray your bathroom with the Room + Linen + "Before You Two" Spray before you run the water. Give the scent a minute to settle.
Drop a bath bomb into warm — not hot — water. Hot water can strip moisture. Warm water opens pores and lets the botanicals absorb.
Soak for at least 15 minutes. No phone. This is your time. If your mind races, focus on the scent — breathe it in and let your thoughts slow down.
Use a sugar scrub on damp skin in circular motions. Focus on elbows, knees, and anywhere that feels rough. Rinse gently.
Pat dry — don't rub. Apply body oil immediately, then seal with whipped body butter while the oil is still slightly tacky. This layering method locks moisture in for hours.
Spray your bedding with the linen spray before you lie down. Let the scent signal to your body: it's time to rest.
The Weekly Glow Reset
20 min · twice weekly
Exfoliate with your sugar scrub 1–2 times per week — not more. Over-exfoliation strips your skin barrier. Tuesday and Friday is a rhythm that works well.
Rinse with cool water at the end of your shower after scrubbing. Cool water closes pores and gives your skin an instant glow boost.
Apply body oil generously on damp skin, focusing on any areas you scrubbed. This is when your skin is most receptive — don't skip this step.
Notice the difference between a scrub day and a non-scrub day. That awareness is how you build a routine you actually value.
"The layering method — oil first, then butter on damp skin — is the single biggest upgrade most people make to their routine. It takes 90 extra seconds and your skin will feel different within a week."

Fragrance guide

Your scent match

Scent is deeply personal. Your match is based on the world that pulled you in — the feeling you're chasing, not just the notes on a label. Here's how to understand and use your fragrance family.

🌸
Your Scent Family
How your matched scents make you feel
✦ Start Here — notes breakdown
🌬️
Room + Linen + "Before You Two" Spray
Your space, your skin, your world — everywhere you want to carry the scent
🏠 Home & rooms 🛏️ Bedding & linen 🛋️ Couch & furniture 🐾 Pet beds 🌬️ Furnace filter 🚗 Vehicle 🐱 Kitty litter ✨ Body spray
Understanding fragrance notes
🌬️
Top Notes
The first impression. What you smell immediately. Bright, fresh, and citrus notes typically lead here. They fade within 15–30 minutes.
💐
Heart Notes
The soul of the fragrance. What you'll wear all day. Florals, spices, and fruity notes often live here. They emerge as the top notes fade.
🌲
Base Notes
The lasting memory. Rich, warm, and grounding — woods, musk, vanilla, amber. These are what people smell hours later and remember.
🧴
Scent Layering
Apply body oil first, then butter on top. The oil carries the fragrance molecules. The butter seals them in. Your scent lasts 2–3× longer.

The clean beauty difference

Clean ingredients aren't a trend — they're a standard. Here's what Le(a)d to Love never puts in your products, and why it matters.

Parabens
Synthetic preservatives linked to hormone disruption. Found in many conventional lotions and body washes.
Silicones
Create a temporary coating that can clog pores and prevent your skin from actually absorbing nourishing ingredients.
Phthalates
Plasticizing chemicals used in synthetic fragrances. Associated with endocrine disruption and reproductive concerns.
Synthetic fillers
Cheap bulking agents that dilute the active, nourishing ingredients your skin actually benefits from.
Sulfates (SLS/SLES)
Harsh foaming agents that strip your skin's natural moisture barrier, especially problematic for sensitive skin.
Artificial dyes
Synthetic colorants with no skin benefit. Le(a)d to Love uses plant-based colorants where color is used at all.
The Le(a)d to Love promise
Every product is handcrafted in small batches — you're never getting something mass-produced
Naturally derived, paraben-free, silicone-free, and phthalate-free — always
Transparent ingredients — you can ask about anything in any product
Made with intention — because what you put on your body is as important as what you put in it
Cruelty-free — kindness is part of the formula
Key ingredients that do the work
🫒
Shea Butter
Rich in fatty acids and vitamins A & E. Deeply nourishing without clogging pores. The backbone of the body butter formula.
🌻
Sunflower Seed Oil
Lightweight carrier oil high in linoleic acid. Absorbs quickly, strengthens the skin barrier, and won't feel greasy.
🥥
Coconut Oil
Naturally antibacterial and moisturizing. Melts at skin temperature for smooth, even application and soft, supple skin.
🍬
Cane Sugar
A gentle physical exfoliant that dissolves on contact. Removes dead skin cells without the micro-tears caused by harsh scrubs.

Journal prompts for self-love

Self-care goes beyond the skin. These prompts are here when you're ready to sit with yourself a little longer. No pressure — just an open page and a pen.

What does "taking care of myself" look like when nobody is watching?
Where in my life am I waiting for permission to rest?
What is one small act of love I can give myself every single day this week?
When I smell my matched scent, what does it bring up for me? What do I want it to remind me of?
What would I tell a close friend who said she never makes time for herself?
🌸

You've taken
the first step

Self-love is a practice, not a destination. Every time you reach for your body butter, drop in a bath bomb, or spray your linen before bed — you're choosing yourself. Keep choosing.
